Climate
Because Purcell Mountain Lodge is located in a high-alpine environment, weather can be extremely varied. Below are average conditions only. Please come prepared for temperatures that are 10 degrees Celsius above or below our seasonal averages. (SummerClothing and Equipment List)
Temperatures:
Winter: -4 to -15 degrees Celsius (0 to 25 Fahrenheit)
Summer: 10 to 20 degrees Celsius (50 to 68 Fahrenheit)
Winds:
Winter: Light to Moderate westerlies
Summer: Light westerlies (enough to keep the bugs away!)
Precipitation:
Winter: Average of 10 meters per winter (33 feet)
Summer: Generally no more than 1-2 days per week
