Summer Hiking at Purcell Lodge

In the summer, alpine wildflowers transform Purcell's endless meadows into a rainbow of beautiful colors. Just steps away you hear the roar of our glacial fed river running rapidly against the backdrop of Mount Sir Donald. Watch from the verenda and see Columbia ground squirrels harvest local plants for winter storage.

Our professional ACMG certified guides will lead guests on challenging peaks to climb and alpine ridges to traverse. Rest on a ridge and you may be rewarded with deer or elk grazing. Observe fresh bear tracks, hawks, eagles and raptors while our guides share their knowledge and expertise about the backcountry.
